The Tank-Weld HEART Trucking Academy is a groundbreaking initiative by the Tank-Weld Group in partnership with the HEART/NSTA Trust, located at Shacman Jamaica, Lot 2 Cumberland Pen, 6 Miles Kingston.

Our Purpose
Born out of a pressing need to address the critical shortage of skilled truck drivers in Jamaica, the academy provides world-class training and promotes safe driving practices to create a sustainable workforce ready to meet the demands of local and international trucking industries.
At present, road crashes involving trucks rank as the second most fatal in Jamaica with 395 fatal truck-related crashes recorded between 2019 and 2023. This has underscored the necessity for a dedicated educational institution to elevate trucking education and road safety standards in the island.
The academy, launched in 2025, is endorsed by the Ministry of Science, Energy, Telecommunications and Transport, the Island Traffic Authority and the National Road Safety Council.
